Justin Bieber Look Alike Causes Stir at Wynn Las Vegas XS Nightclub in 2025

A Night at the Casino for Wynn Las Vegas’ XS Nightclub

In May of 2025 at the high profile XS Nightclub in the Wynn Las Vegas hotel a different kind of event took place. It was out of the blue that we learned that pop star Justin Bieber was in the audience that night to see which had the audience at XS in a state of shock. Justin Bieber look alike Word of the surprise appearance by the star went viral and the energy in the club was at a peak as guests got ready for what was to be a night to remember. What happened though was nothing like a typical celebrity cameos.

The Impostor Justin Bieber look alike Takes the Stage

As it went that night when Gryffin was getting ready for his performance a person who said to be Justin Bieber walked out to the stage with him. What transpired was Dylan Desclos a French artist and professional Justin Bieber look alike which later was identified as, took to the stage to perform Bieber’s hit “Sorry”. In dark glasses, with a buzz cut, and wearing tattoos that matched up with that of the Canadian pop star’s, Desclos was almost identical to the real Bieber to the staff in the club and many in the audience.

Gryffin himself got into the spirit of things announcing “Bieber in the house, y’all” which added to the ruse and in turn increased the crowd’s excitement. For the short time he performed it was very hard for the audience to tell the difference between the real and the fake and they roared with what they thought was the real thing.

The Deception Unraveled

Despite what at first seemed like a sure thing, the truth came out. After the show went on did a member of Gryffin’s team let out that the man on stage was in fact an impersonator and not Justin Bieber. Gryffin was taken off guard, which included the very real belief in the performer’s identity.

Also the Wynn Las Vegas put out a statement which they described the incident as a complex and multi faceted deception which they admitted the impersonator and his team put together a multi stage trick to get onto the XS stage. Once the impersonation was out there the impersonator was removed from the venue and banned from ever returning. The club staff looked at the large scale of the hoax which they noted in the dark lighting and loud music they were caught off guard in their judgment.

The Impersonator’s Perspective

Dylan Desclos which is in the business of putting on a Justin Bieber lookalike show built a career out of it. He went public to say he didn’t have any intent to trick or do harm. Through social media he also put out that he went to the night club aware that he was an impersonator and that he was asked to perform in that light.

Also Desclos’ manager Julien Colas put out a statement which agreed with that which his client said. He said that what they do is a regular thing, that it is a real professional thing. Also that they don’t try to mislead people in to thinking they are the real Justin Bieber which in fact would go against what is at the base of what they do which is entertainment.

The Aftermath and Public Reaction

The incident went viral very quickly which saw Gryffin humorously term it as “biebergate2025” and he put out video clips of it on Instagram. The footage is of the great impersonation job and Gryffin’s surprised response to the truth. Also jumping in to the fun were fellow artists and DJs like Zedd and Kygo who put out laughing emojis and comments. At the same time the club put out a statement which while they stood by their security they did note that this was a regrettable error which they are looking into. Also in the mix was the fact that Desclos’ tab at the club came to almost $10K which he paid before they asked him to leave.

The Broader Context of Celebrity Impersonation

This issue brings to the fore the interesting yet at times very controversial world of celebrity look alikes. Professional impersonators put in great work into that which they do from the look and the tattoos to the voice and the stage presence. While many of these professionals are out there in the open, at times their acts cross the line between tribute and fraud, which in a high energy environment like a nightclub plays out very easily. In this instance the in depth deception played into the dynamic setting of the nightclub as well as the audience and staff’s desire to see a surprise star turn up.

What to Expect from Club Security and Celebrity Guests

The 2025 episode of what I’m calling “biebergate” serves as a warning for the entertainment industry in terms of the value of solid security plans and proof of identity before a performer takes the stage. That which transpired brought out issues in to what access is given and the lines of communication between club staff, which also brought to light that even very large scale venues are at risk from well thought out schemes. Going forward it is likely that clubs will put in more rigorous ID checks, will do better pre event contact with artists’ teams, and will improve communication with the security groups to prevent repeat of this issue.

Also with digital and social media blowing up these types of events the issue of keeping it real and protecting artist brands becomes even more so. In the end although the night saw a out of the blue prank play out, also it brought to the fore the still large and lasting role that celebrities like Justin Bieber play in today’s entertainment world.

The event is to become a classic tale from the Las Vegas scene a mix of what was funny, what was bold, and the blurring of what was real and what was put on stage in today’s night time entertainment.
